Natalie Vardey’s journey to where she is today is a fascinating story to share. At a young age, her grandmother taught her to crochet whilst her mother taught her to knit. This led to a fascination where Natalie would crochet tiny pieces using sewing thread, making an abundance of gifts to shower her family with. She went on to study at Sir John Cass in London and is a classically trained and much respected jeweller.
“Inspired by my grandmother’s legacy of creativity and resourcefulness and shaped by years of living by the sea with no electricity on a remote Scottish island, I’ve honed the art of crafting exquisite, handwoven jewellery with basic tools using timeless techniques.
From delicate necklaces to highly polished earrings, my work encompasses the practicality of traditions and the indulgence of intricate design. With an unwavering focus on results, I’ve learned that the journey is never-ending and there’s always more to explore.”
